ArtNova.Gallery is a marketplace dedicated to emerging and post-contemporary art — and something more: a place where an artist’s work is not only sold, but truly seen.

Founded in 2025 by Jean-Baptiste Mesona, it was built to address the living artist’s hardest problem: being found. In a saturated digital landscape, talent alone is no longer enough — the work has to be discoverable, legible, and citable, both by collectors and by the search and AI engines that increasingly shape how art is discovered.

Our founder

Jean-Baptiste Mesona is an Art Advisor, editorial architect and author. He is one of the first specialists in France in GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) applied to art and culture — the discipline of making an artist citable by conversational AI engines, not merely visible on Google. Author of seven books, including La Ruée vers l’Art (2020) and Galerie Saladin (2025), he founded Calliope Services in 2013. He spent nine years in Tunisia (2011–2020), seven of them developing the marketing of Galerie Saladin in Sidi Bou Saïd. From that double culture — literary and strategic — comes his conviction: marketing is not the enemy of beauty, provided it is done well.

We have made the recognition of artists our work — in both senses of the word.

To recognize: to read a body of work, to enter a practice, to grasp a singularity and name it justly. The living artist’s daily difficulty is not a lack of talent — it is being poorly described, or not described at all.

And to make recognized: to give that practice the visibility it deserves — across Google, the AI engines, and every channel where collectors now search.

Acting as the artists’ agent — and without exclusivity — we accompany painters, photographers, ceramicists, sculptors and other visual artists, from the emerging to the established.
